This song is the triumphant shout of the child who scales the playground. A rivulet is the trickling outshoot of a river, which forges a new path in the world, nourishes new life and shapes the landscape.

What I mean by the chorus, ‘When we rivulet the world, we make it better’, is that when we speak forthrightly, pursue truth and create without fear, we improve the world. I believe deeply in that thesis: even if you have a lot of bad ideas, if you negotiate them with the world, trying them out, paying attention to people’s responses and admitting when you are wrong, then you can still improve the world, by populating it with courage and constructive discussion.
